Worldbuilder (Entry Level)
Job Objectives
Works as an entry level member of the world-builders to create high quality and elaborate interactive environments in accordance with the technical capabilities of the gaming platform and product scope. Individual has some experience in 3D game development. Takes initiative to learn and adapt to new team practices based on evolving technologies. Can work and thrive in multidiscipline work atmosphere - often along side a Designer or project lead while under time constraints.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
Creator
Fundamentally understands the 3D world space, object scale, texturing, and lighting as it applies to developing game environments.
Expert
Can demonstrate quality modeling, texturing and lighting using commercial 3D development tools.
Team Member
Promotes a positive work environment through high personal and performance standards.
Qualifications:
| 1. | Associates Degree in Digital Media, Computer Graphics or Related degree. |
| 2. | 0-1 Years of related experience in gaming or simulation or similar discipline. |
| 3. | Proficiency using 3D Studio Max, Maya, Softimage, or Lightwave 3D to create detailed game levels to scale and accuracy. |
| 4. | Can paint textures to specifications using the latest version of Photoshop or similar programs. |
| 5. | Fundamental understanding of building detailed 3D worlds within memory budgets. |
| 6. | Performed similar role on at least 1 published game titles or similar project. |
| 7. | Online or DVD of an art portfolio (Required) - This can be work related or personal projects outside of work related activities. |
Ideal Candidates will have also the following:
| 1. | Willingness to learn, wear multiple hats during a project and flexibility to assume additional responsibilities as needed. |
| 2. | High motivation, willingness to grow, and a passion about games/art projects which can be observed through their portfolio. |
| 3. | High level of interest in the industry, or their specific niche in general. |
